Industries
IT ALL BEGINS WITH CRAFTSMANSHIP.
Hancock County has a variety of industries, with a new call center funded by the State of Tennessee under construction. A world-renowned manufacturer of state-of-the-art livestock trailers and a furniture manufacturer known for its quality detail work call Hancock County home. These and other businesses located here for the affordable cost, business-friendly environment, the fiber optics infrastructure and a dedicated workforce determined to bring their best.
Keifer Manufacturing
When local Hancock County owners bought Keifer from its national corporation, they wanted to improve on an already respected brand of custom trailers. Knowing that customers sought out their Tennessee-made product, they set out to make it even better, with employees always looking for ways to make every trailer a perfect, state-of-the-art piece of equipment, from the hand-welded frames built of metal cut to within 1/16th of an inch, to the additional space and insulation, to the customizable extras, like living areas, and even fireplaces. Technology developed at Keifer is now used by companies around the United States.
Hackney Furniture
Attention to detail is crucial at Hackney Furniture, where a dedicated team creates quality furniture for luxury hotels around the world. Hotels belonging to the Millenium Hotel Group, the Ritz Carlton, the Hyatt Regency and the Sheraton all came to Hackney—and Hancock County—for fine furniture, as did famous and historic inns like the Hotel Del Coronado in California, the Carlyle in Washington D.C. and the Seaglass Inn and Spa in Massachusetts. Fine upholstery and custom wood shading, toning and finishing are hallmark at Hackney, where everything is “American Made by American Hands.”
